Personal chemistry, friendship,fellowship, trust, respect and peer relationships are the powerful forces in human relations. NETWORKS share in common the opportunity to make contact and develop relationships, both personal and professional. Conventional organizational structure necessary to conduct the businesses might present many invisible barriers to the human exchange and information flow.
Networking links people, not institutions. NETWORKS are one-on-one linkages with other people who really know and/or have a common interest. The essence of successful networking and building of intelligence depends upon the values and people who choose to be together to develop themselves or their organisation. Networks offer cooperation rather than competition. 

Networking is the process of developing and using your contacts. It is also linking the people you know to the people the others know. "Good Weavers" tie together different networks in a conscious way. They want to combine their resources to implement appropriate solutions as quickly, simply and efficiently as possible. It is up to oneself to use her imagination, her creativity and her common sense to develop the right "tools". There are few recipes. It is the LEARNING that matters. In one workshop we discussed, what we have gained from belonging to a network. Following answers came out: - friendship, access to knowledge outside own sphere, chance for development, energy, stimulus for new development, support through difficulty and difficult times

Networks also die easily. A NETWORK works when there is a permanent flow of information and also inspiration. Networking means possibility to provide and get the information needed to/from an other person and not only lipservice, which, unfortunately, is widely used. Nowadays, and especially in the future, information is power. The larger your network, the better your chance of finding out exactly what you need to know. And knowing whom to call is almost as good as knowing! Networkers can accumulate influence or power by control of information and, of course, by learning. When Networking following startups might help you: - define yourself as a resource, identify your missing resources, clarify the purpose of Networking wanted and needed, start a repository for your information and ideas.

Networking IS a learned skill. We aren't born knowing how to do it successfully. Let us smile, act, share, interact, reach out and inquire together and we shall be informed! The final bonus will be a wealth of information in diversity.
